US Grade 6 - 9
Music is can bring people together and inspire you, and everyone has their favorite artist or musical sound. There are so many different styles and sounds in music, that it can be hard to explore them all. In this Summer class, students will be able to share songs (following the below topic list) and listen to new music shared by their classmates. My goal with this course is for everyone to walk away each week with at least 1-3 new songs/artists/musical styles to add to their playlist. This class will be set up exactly like the student shares in my Music Exploration class:https://outschool.com/classes/music-exploration-HEtdYDyd Each week, learners will come to class with 1-3 songs following each topic guide below. Please make sure that songs are clean (no explicit lyrics) and appropriate for all age levels. The topic (food, space, emotion) can be either in the lyrics or in the title (unless specified). This class needs the minimum of 3 students for participation. Please message me if you have any questions. Please message me if you have any questions. I have been an educator on Outschool since February of 2018. I have my MBA and MHA, both of which have taught me the value of conducting research and asking questions. I have a passion for history, organization, reading, and learning. You can usually find me in the middle of 2-3 books or watching a documentary.
I am also an Outschool ACE Educator, which means that I continually seek out ways to improve my teaching skills and knowledge, as well as the learner experience.
