As an Educational Diagnostician, I am well versed in the area of phonological and phonemic awareness and the impact on reading outcomes for all students. While I am not a certified Dyslexia Therapist, I am trained in evaluating for the disability and knowledgeable on interventions needed to support students- one of which is direct instruction in phonics. I have spent the majority of my career teaching students with a learning disability how to read. Additionally, I spent several years teaching pre-k students phonological awareness and seeing littles become excited about learning is by far my favorite part of teaching!
This class is intentionally designed to meet each individual's needs. Supports are embedded throughout the lesson with modeling, guided practice, and visual supports. My mission is to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment.
In this class we will use google slides, seesaw, and kahoot
