FLEX Latin Memory Masters: Level a (Dyslexia, ADHD, & Autism Friendly)

Join us for Latin fun! Each week we will learn themed vocabulary, Latin and Greek roots and how they connect to the English language, and practice our memorization skills that build long term memory abilities!

As a flex course, I will post a teaching video once a week introducing the new content. Students should watch the video daily to help memorize content. Students will also turn in work using nearpod, quizlet, and submitting worksheets in the classroom. Access to all materials will be available through the classroom. 

Week 1:
Around the house! We will learn 10-15 vocabulary words and some word roots that tie to English vocabulary! We will also introduce Noun declensions, specifically the 1st Declension. Students will review what we learned and practice with games like hang man, quizlet, and on nearpod.
Interactive note booking will be assigned each week and pictures/uploads of the work will be turned into the teacher each Friday. 

Week 2:
Around the farm! We will learn 10-15 vocabulary words and some word roots that tie to English vocabulary! We will also introduce verb conjugations, specifically the present tense! Students will review what we learned and practice with games like hang man, quizlet, and on nearpod.
Interactive note booking will be assigned each week and pictures/uploads of the work will be turned into the teacher each Friday. 

Week 3:
Around the school! We will learn 10-15 vocabulary words and some word roots that tie to English vocabulary! We will also introduce building basic sentences in Latin! Students will review what we learned and practice with games like hang man, quizlet, and on Nearpod. 
Interactive note booking will be assigned each week and pictures/uploads of the work will be turned into the teacher each Friday. 

Week 4: 
Review Week! We will spend this week playing games and practicing translating basic sentences in Latin. We will review English words and how they relate to their Latin and Greek word roots. Students will take a quiz on what you learned! Let’s test your memory skills and knowledge of Latin so far. Don’t worry, we’ll have some fun, too!
