**Note- If you do not see a section available and you would like to take the class, feel free to request a section and I will work to get one booked for you** In this class students will learn about the different types of fingerprint patterns and ridge characteristics. We will also cover how fingerprints are used in forensic science. Students will get a chance to take and analyze their own fingerprints and work with the class to match fingerprints of "suspects" to ones found at a "crime scene".
Learning Goals
Students will be able to identify the 8 major fingerprint types along with a few ridge characteristics. They will be able to apply this information to the analysis of their own fingerprints and those of simulated crime scenes.

Handouts will be provided before class (if no printer is available, blank white paper will do) + Blank white sheet of paper Scotch tape sharpened regular lead pencil magnifying glass (optional)
