Class experience
This hands-on course will take students through the production process, from storytelling & performance techniques, through shooting & editing their very own short movies. Our philosophy is that film tools can improve soft skills in young people, and each filmmaking step will enrich their creativity. In this camp, students are encouraged to make their movies as a team of 2 or 3, to emulate a real film set and to foster real-life collaboration (even in a virtual setting). Classes are 1.5...
Lead by award-winning film director Flavia Casà, the practitioners behind CineMavericks are filmmakers, performers, and community builders. We are more than technical film teachers - we are mentors and know how important it is to improve soft skills through hands-on creative practice. Flavia is DBS-certified and has trained staff in health & safety protocols.
Students need the following equipment to participate in the course: - a smartphone or digital camera (to shoot their films) - a computer with good internet connection (to follow along) - iMovie for Apple devices, or Premiere Rush for android devices (demos will be done in iMovie) - a notebook is also encouraged
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
