Class Experience

Students will be be taught multiple core topics of Fencing such as blade classes, blade structures, techniques, posture, forms, conditioning, and history. Some of these topics will take longer than others since they are something that can't be mastered overnight. I will also offer more advanced courses in order to better improve technique, introduce more styles and how to better improve one's conditioning. I always makes sure that I answer everyone's question that is related to the topic and I will always do surprise questions as well as end of the day reviews in order to make sure the students are fully aware and understand the topics I have covered for the day. I will also use examples such as video clips from competitions and self live performing in order to help better understand the lesson I am covering. During my lessons when it comes to conditioning and postures I will constantly interact with the students. I always makes sure the forms and postures are correct before advising to progress to a more advanced class. This is a sport that should not be taken lightly since we will be dealing with weapons and one should always give respect to one another. Prior knowledge and experience is NOT required in order to participate in this class. The only requirements the student will need when it comes to demonstrations and performance will be their own equipment. The intro course will not need such equipment since this will be a more of a doorway on what to expect before entering in further. When classes are over one must always PRACTICE the lessons I have introduced in order to improve. In fencing, one can always tell when one has not practiced.

My name is Christian C. and I am very happy that you are taking the time to read my small intro in order for you to get to know me a little more. I am very patient and am always happy to answer as many questions in order for you to better understand what is needed to be learned.

I have been teaching, tutoring and coaching since I was in high school between multiple subjects such as Spanish, Film Making, Creative Writing, the wonderful sport of Fencing and Fencing History. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Film Making and graduated top 5 in my class. My favorite subjects in Film Making are post production and creative writing. I have history in teaching at multiple Fencing Academies, Clubs and High Schools in my area with outstanding results. I have been working in the industry for the best part of 5 years now and due to me being one of the new comers in the industry I figured I would share my experiences and knowledge to those who also want to take part in the industry or learn more about it. I have worked in multiple environments on the field and have assisted a hand full of colleagues and future students. I have graduated near the top of my class all while being part of a advanced placement courses in order to get started as early as possible in the industry. Currently working as a script writer, PA, field scout, behind the scenes photographer and personal photographer in the industry.

At the moment, I am enrolling to receive my teaching certificate and I believe that this will be a great step forward in furthering my experience in the field of education. Before starting anything Intermediate or Advanced I always tend to first understand the student's first impressions and basic knowledge on the said subject and if need be bring them up to speed on what they need to know first before advancing to any further. Mastering basics is always very important in any subject. As always if you have any questions before or after sessions please do not be afraid to send me a message at any time and I will gladly respond as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for your time reading my small intro and I look forward to helping you in anyway I can.
