In this one-time class, students will read a Father’s Day story and create a collage-style portrait of their dad.
Class experience
Students will listen to the story What Daddies Do Best. We will discuss what we each love about our own Dads. Students will then watch a demonstration of how to create a collage-style portrait of a person using construction paper and scrap-paper. Following the step-by-step directions, learners will then each create a collage-style portrait of their father. Students will be shown different shapes to draw and cut to form the body.
