Your child does not have to forget what all he learned this year just because school is out. This one time course will teach your students short cuts on how to solve the " greater than " and " less than" equation problems. Most teachers just teach the " Alligator" method but I will teach your child other short cuts. Your child will also learn about place values which is a vital skill for " Greater Than" and " Less Than" equations. They will have fun playing the alligator game and determining which number is the greatest. Students will also have the luxury of meeting Mr Ally and learning about the different equation signs ( greater than, less than, and equal to) Your child will finally create an art activity that can help him or her practice " Greater than " and Less than after the course is over. I will also patiently teach your child short cuts on how to solve two digit as well as three digit equations.
Learning Goals
Your child will be the head of the class next year and will learn to compare from one to three digits. . The students will learn what the different symbols are. They will also learn about place values.

green and white construction paper ( children can use just white paper if they do not have construction paper) glue scissors markers pencil lined paper to take notes
