Explore the World! Learn a New Country Each Week!
Class experience
US Grade 1 - 4
Calling all explorers! In this weekly class we'll be exploring the entire world, one country at a time. Each week will feature a different country. We'll discuss where it is located at, it's geography, climate, and capital. Students will learn about important landmarks, wildlife, and what the country is famous for. While this is an excellent class to have after or during the "Travel the World: Learn the Continents, Oceans, and More", no prior knowledge or experience is needed for this course....
Students will learn a new country each week along with it's capital, location, and some interesting facts about that country.
I have been teaching geography for years in my own homeschool curriculum through unit studies. I greatly enjoy bringing art, music, science, geography, math, social studies and language arts into a lesson that is fun and engaging. I also love learning about different cultures and trying out different traditional recipes. I have learned that through native stories, food, and music, students can connect personally with a country, engaging their curiosity to learn even more about it.
Homework Offered
Printable homework will be available after each class. This is optional and just for fun. It is not necessary for the course.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
