Escape from Prince Manor - A Virtual Math Escape Room
What's included
1 live meeting
45 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
You and your team will assemble in a themed room and will have 40 minutes to complete your mission and “escape” the room. A successful escape will require you to find hidden clues and solve challenging puzzles throughout the "room". Everywhere you look is a potential clue to get out of an escape room or riddle waiting to be solved. But hurry, the clock starts ticking the moment you enter the escape room! In this escape room math concepts of counting money, logic, and riddles will be reinforced. The escape room is a completely digital escape room. It will utilize technology such as video and PPT to run through the scenarios to solve the puzzle. The clues are completed by solving digital locks. Typically, these are just locks in a form that must be answered correctly to unlock the next clue (or set of clues) Teammates will need to interact via voice or chat box to help solve the clues together. Class was listed under a previous name. Characters and places have changed but puzzles have remained the same so if you have taken this class previously please try another one of my escape room.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my name is Dana Kaushik and I would like to share a little bit about myself.
I was raised in Indiana and always dreamed of being a veterinarian as a little kid. I was accepted into Purdue University as a pre-vet major. I was extremely excited to finally pursue my lifetime dream but in the summer between freshman and sophomore year of college something unexpected happened. I was given the chance to be an intern at Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom. While there, I realized that I had this gift of teaching the guests. I went back home with a renewed outlook and purpose. I changed my major to elementary education and a few years later I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Education degree.
After college I moved to North Carolina and began teaching elementary school. I taught 4th grade at a public elementary school for 10 years. I was responsible for teaching every subject: Language Arts, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies to approximately 25 students in my classroom daily.
After 10 years, I decided I wanted to pursue a new avenue. I went back to school at Florida Tech and received a Masters In Business Administration. I then decided to combine my two passions for Business and Education into one and teach high school. For the past 5 years, I have been teaching CTE classes at the high school level. Some of the courses I've taught include: Word & PPT, Excel & Access, marketing, strategic marketing, project management, and principles of business and finance.
Two years ago, I further challenged myself and became a National Board Certified teacher. I’ve been successfully facilitating student self-growth for the past 15 years and enjoy educating students. This coming school year I am looking forward to my new position as an Academy Career Development Coordinator and helping students find their passions and career goals.
When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 2 sons. I love to have fun and enjoy being in nature.
