We will work on the elements and principles of art and be inspired by different art styles, artists, and art history.
I have been a certified classroom teacher for 11 years. My students have always enjoyed learning through creativity and self-expression. I LOVE showing children how they can be young artists and how they can use art to extend the core curriculum subjects of Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.
The basic supplies for this ongoing class are listed below. Not all of these supplies are needed every week. I will post the specific supplies needed each week in the classroom before the start of class. White Paper (Printer Paper, Watercolor Paper, Multi-Media Paper, Sketchbook) Pencil/Eraser/Sharpener Fine Line Pens in Assorted Colors (Flair Pens or Micron Pens) Colored Pencils Markers Crayons Watercolors/Paintbrushes
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
