Class Experience

The goal is to enhance your learner's understanding of this STEM subject and demonstrate this topic using several different teaching methods to appeal to your learners specific learning style (verbal, hands on, etc.) There will be videos, slides, and practical demonstration of this topic by use oif an online lab. We will explore the lab together by assembling circuits, adding switches and exploring the electrical possibilities of series circuits.
As a reminder: I'm a qualified Journeyman electrician with almost two decades of experience in this area. Nothing that I demonstrate in the class should be replicated in any way in the home during class or after class. The lab is an online simulator but I will also do some show and tell at the beginning of the course with batteries and light bulbs.
No homework will be assigned! Just attend this course unmuted so that we can all contribute and discuss the topic! The more interaction the better!
 2 files available upon enrollment
The only supplies required are a smile and an open mind ready to learn! The lab that we explore allows me to duplicate to your child's screen. They will not be required to access any external websites and no printed material is required Once your student is enrolled you will have access to a PowerPoint and a .PDF of additional materials that you can use with your child to enhance their understanding of this subject. This course will also be recorded and you'll have access to review the recording as many times as you need! Thanks for joining my classroom
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The instructor will ensure the topic is understood by asking for feedback and understanding thorughout the course
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
No parental guidance is required during the course however, safety is paramount and safety will be reiterated at the beginning and end of the course. Students will be asked to not experiment on their own with electricity without the supervision of their parent.

About Me

Hello and welcome to my classroom! I promise I can teach ANYONE about the technical subjects that I'm passionate about. I say this and can make the promise because I myself had to learn my trade without any technical experience as an adult. ...
