Class Experience

This is an ongoing class for 1:1 peer-led conversational practice in English.

I am an experienced ESL/EFL teacher with a TESOL certificate. I am precise, but friendly and cheerful. I will encourage but not embarrass my students. We will use some ice-breakers or get-to-know-you style questions at the beginning of each class to create a fun environment, and these topics will be chosen by the instructor. Students are welcome to add other topics or social interactions as long as they abide by Outschool's policies. The remainder of the class will be student-led. Students are welcome to ask questions about English homework or North American culture.

I can accommodate the following types of learning experiences and many more:
--introducing oneself in different settings
--grammar school/high school life in the USA
--extracurricular life of American students
--American summer! :-)
--accurate grammar correction
--ordering sentences for clarity
--figures of speech
--American slang (clean)
--parts of speech identification and purpose (correct use of pronouns)
--homework support

TOPIC EXAMPLES:
Who is in your family? (siblings/parents/etc.)
What's your favorite meal?
What is the world's best invention?
What kinds of music do you enjoy?
Why are you learning English?
What's the best vacation you've ever had?

Students should have basic fluency. (can greet, answer simple questions, follow along with a teacher's instructions, etc.)

(I am also a student! Ms. Meg is actively learning Korean, which is part of my family's culture. So I know how it feels to learn!)
Learning Goals
Students will gain conversational confidence through peer interaction within the facilitation of a skilled ESL instructor.
