1 in-class hoursClass Experience
US Grade 7 - 10
For this one-time class, I will present a short slideshow to introduce learners to the Elements of Art. We will look at and discuss the following elements and principles of art and design: Line, Texture, Value, Pattern, and Color (both Analogous and Complementary groups). Students will then draw to create an abstract design incorporating these elements into their work. Learners will color their compositions using learned techniques for shading. No prior experience in art or drawing is needed and students of any drawing level are welcome! Depending on the pace that students work, they might not complete the piece of artwork within the class time; however, the student will be given the necessary information to ensure that they can successfully finish their work outside of class if they wish. I will be available via Conversations before/during/after class if any questions arise!
