In this interactive class students will draw (or color in provided sheets) tadpoles and frogs while they learn all about them. There will be time for questions and answers as we learn facts about habitat, the life cycle, where we find them, and more. No prior knowledge is needed, just be willing to have fun, ask questions, and be creative while learning. We'll see some pictures and listen to frog sounds too.
Students will learn about the life cycle of the frog and the frog's habitat. We'll take a look at maps of where frogs are found around the world, learn why frogs are such an important part of our ecosystem, and learn how to draw them. We will draw the different life stages from egg to frog and learn about the metamorphosis.
I'm an avid gardener and frogs are part of the environment that I encourage.
No homework. Just be prepared to find drawings of frogs everywhere in the coming weeks.
Students should be prepared with paper and markers or crayons. I'll provide a few coloring sheets that students can use while they learn.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There is no formal assessment for this class. Be prepare to learn about frogs and tadpoles over the dinner table. They are interesting little critters.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
No sensitive material here. Just tadpoles and frogs.
