Digital Literacy and Design Skills: Unlocking Creative Potential!

In today's dynamic digital landscape, students are constantly exploring innovative ways to engage with their interests through various online platforms and digital media. Gone are the days when text alone defined the boundaries of reading, writing, and learning. Now, the possibilities are endless, and students can express themselves in multifaceted ways.

Welcome to our introductory digital design class, where we embark on a journey through the fundamental elements of Canva, a versatile digital graphic design program. Throughout the course, we will delve into the diverse array of projects that Canva enables, and each student will create four unique projects, including a poster, postcard, logo, and video announcement.

Our exploration will cover the utilization of templates, offering insights into personalization techniques that transform ordinary designs into distinct creations. Students will become proficient in utilizing various tools, images, elements, and backgrounds to craft their own Digital Designs. Moreover, we will delve into the history of digital design, expand our vocabulary, and hone our brainstorming skills to explore the myriad digital techniques at our disposal.

In parallel, we will emphasize the significance of Internet Safety, ensuring that students navigate the digital realm responsibly. The class will adopt a workshop-style approach, fostering student interaction and engagement. Video demonstrations will guide the learning process, and active participation through questions and shared insights will enhance the overall experience.

ECE is a critical phase in child development, and research indicates that children engaged in ECE programs tend to perform better academically. These formative experiences inspire children to seek knowledge and cultivate a lifelong passion for learning.

An integral aspect of teaching involves understanding both the student and their family. Feel free to reach out with any questions, concerns, or ideas that can aid in your child's educational journey.
