Design a Sidekick Robot and Write About It! Plus Reader's Theater All About Robots. Learners will start the class by brainstorming robot designs and creating a unique design. They will use a graphic organizer to describe their robot creation and then write about it. Students will have the opportunity to share their designs before writing. Learners will then write about their robots with a fun story or description. Learners will also have the opportunity to participate in Reader's Theater where kids can read parts in plays teaching all about robots. This is designed to be a fun, interactive class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to create a design, then apply descriptive writing skills and fiction story writing skills.Students will learn reading fluency and reading in parts by taking turns.Syllabus

Learning Needs
This class supports all learning styles and gives opportunity when ready. As a teacher, I encourage all students to participate, but don't require, but thin they will WANT to by the end of the session.
Pre-Requisites
Ability to write a sentence, but not worried about spelling.
Supply List
Paper and colored pencils. Printables will be provided prior to the class, but also projected on the screen.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
