****Note: I will not be teaching this class during the 2022-2023 school year because I am teaching at an in-person school. I WILL still be running the FLEX version of this class, though! If you look at my profile, you can find the FLEX class.**** This class will review all fraction operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) as well as equivalent fractions. Each class will begin with a conceptual and procedural review of the fraction operation of the day. Then we will...
The students will be given practice sheets to work on the operation of the day throughout the following week. We will check their answers at the beginning of each class.
Ingredient lists will be sent out one week before each class begins. Students can also print out the worksheets/recipes one week before each class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
4 hours 35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The students in the class will create the batter/dough needed to bake the daily treat, but they will not be doing the actual baking until after the class. Students will not be supervised by the online teacher while they are doing the baking. During class, students will occasionally use a knife to cut fruit, but other than that will not be using any dangerous cooking utensils.
