This is a beginner's creative writing class for those who want to learn to write creative short or long stories.

US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner Level
The students who enroll will learn all the important parts of a story and how to write a compelling story full of vivid images and characters. Students do not need to have a background in writing, they should however want to write a story or novel for themselves. Homework will be assigned in assignments due at the end of each class on the weekly subject. Evaluations are done by weekly assignments and the final project for each student. Students will learn how to write a story in various assignments throughout the class described in the course description.
I am a avid writer and publisher. I have written many stories over the years and feel that I can shape a good story for readers. I am also a publisher of an online newsletter and write many articles for my subscribers as well. I make it my mission to talk about the real world of writing and how the writing world actually works to up and coming writers. My personal approach to teaching is to take each child and learn their teaching style and tailor their class schedule to them in my other classes.
Homework Offered
Every week for the first 5 weeks there will be 1 assignment per class. Each of these can be found in the course description.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
If you would like a final grade for your final story please let me know! Every week there is feedback given out by myself in this class via private means.Grades Offered
I will provide all information to the students, your student will only need a pen and pencil in my classes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We do talk about the reality of the writing world and how some topics can be written about in the real world. Such as abuse, addictions, etc. If you are uncomfortable with this, you may not want to enroll your younger child. I am trying to give honest views of writing to the kids as they are coming in.
There are none used in this class except for the powerpoint slides.
