Students will need a safe and well-lit space in which to move. They should be able to see and hear their computer or mobile device while moving. An adult should be present to make sure that the space is clear of hazardous objects and that any accidental injuries can be addressed immediately. A carpet, rug, or mat for practicing handstands is recommended. Students should wear comfortable clothing in which they can move freely, including turning upside down and stretching with legs apart. Bare feet are recommended to avoid slipping. Pre-class warm-up exercises should not be necessary for the children. However, if parents plan to participate they should warm themselves up before class. Children who have special needs in terms of physical movement may need to warm up before class. Parents should inform the instructor of any special needs that may require adapting the exercises.
