In "Explora tu Hogar: Vocabulario de la Casa en Español," students will learn Spanish vocabulary related to different parts of the house and common household items. The class will cover topics such as rooms, furniture, and everyday objects found at home. Each session is structured with a calendar activity to practice dates and small conversations, followed by the main topic, a writing activity, and an interactive exercise like drawing or labeling. - Interactive Communication: Through discussions, games, and interactive activities, students will improve their conversational skills in Spanish, specifically around the topic of household vocabulary.
- Prepositions of Place: Students will understand and correctly use prepositions to describe the location of objects within the house. (e.g., "La lámpara está sobre la mesa" - The lamp is on the table).
- Verb Conjugation: Students will practice conjugating the verb "hacer" (to do) apply it in contextually appropriate sentences. Eg. Yo hago la tarea en el en mi cuarto porque es cómodo" - (I do homework in my room because it is comfortable).
- Use of Adjectives: Students will learn to use adjectives in Spanish to describe household objects, including size, color, and condition. (e.g., "La cama es grande y cómoda" - The bed is big and comfortable)
- Sentence Construction: Students will be able to construct simple sentences in Spanish describing the location and attributes of various household items. (e.g., "La mesa está en la cocina" - The table is in the kitchen).
- Vocabulary Mastery:Students will learn and be able to recall the Spanish names for at least 20 different rooms and household items. (e.g., "dormitorio" for bedroom, "mesa" for table).
