My expertise in teaching Black history and culture stems from a combination of academic training and personal background. I hold a minor in African American Studies, providing me with a specialized academic foundation in this field. Moreover, as an African American woman, I bring lived experience and a deep cultural understanding that enriches my approach to teaching Black history. This unique blend of academic knowledge and personal insight enables me to create an inclusive, nuanced, and engaging learning environment for students exploring this essential subject matter.

"Voice of Freedom: Fannie Lou Hamer" by Carole Boston Weatherford Chronicles the life and activism of Fannie Lou Hamer, a prominent figure in the Civil Rights Movement. 3.
