Cooking Cosmetics: Use Food to Make Your Own Body Care Products!
Cooking Cosmetics classes teach learners how to use food and natural ingredients to create personal care products. (i.e. shampoo, bubble bath,) We'll have fun using our senses to explore the ingredients before we start feeding the skin!

In this class, students will learn how food that is good for the body on the inside can also be good for the body on the outside. Learners will use food and other natural ingredients to create their personal care products by following a recipe provided by Cooking Cosmetics. Students will learn about the properties and benefits of the ingredients being used in each class through the lesson and various interactive games and activities. The instructor will be live on camera and will make the recipe along with the learners. The learners will receive step by step instructions. The class is interactive and engaging and students can ask questions as they arise. A list of *ingredients and supplies required for the class will be listed in the Materials section. The cost of the class also includes the Cooking Cosmetics kit that includes cosmetic packaging for the recipe along with pre-printed product/ingredient labels. Once registered, we will ship out the Cooking Cosmetics kit to the mailing address provided. Students are required to have any necessary measuring spoons, measuring cups, bowls, and mixing spoons to create the recipe. No prior experience necessary and Cooking Cosmetics recipes are for everyone! *Please note: One of the recipes requires the cutting of fruit, and I request that students come prepared with the fruit already cut.

Parental Guidance
Each class will list the ingredients and tools required. As Cooking Cosmetics classes involve using cooking instruments, we ask for parental guidance when the following is required:
Using a knife or scissors when cutting any of the food ingredients into smaller pieces
Using a grater/zester
Operating a blender
We do NOT use:
A stove or heat source in any of our classes.
Soy, wheat, or nut ingredients
IMPORTANT: If your child has allergies to any of the food ingredients listed in the materials section for each class, they should not attend that class. We use eggs and dairy in some of our recipes, and all ingredients will be listed for each class in the materials section of the class.
Pre-Requisites
Students are required to have any necessary measuring spoons, measuring cups, bowls, and mixing spoons to create the recipe.
One of the recipes requires the cutting of fruit, please have learners come prepared with the fruit already cut.
Supply List
PLEASE REGISTER by 11/20 to ensure that your Cooking Cosmetics Kit arrives in time for the 12/2 class. For this class each learner will need the following ingredients: 1/2 orange Granulated sugar Olive oil Vanilla extract Grater/Zester 1 tbsp, 1/2 tsp, 1/4 tsp measuring spoons 1/2 cup measuring cup Small mixing bowl Spoon to mix The cost of the class also includes the Cooking Cosmetics kit that includes cosmetic packaging for the recipe along with pre-printed product/ingredient labels.
