Description
Class Experience
Students will be introduced to how commas create pauses in sentences, how to use commas in dates and addresses, and how to use commas to introduce ideas in sentences.
I will post a Comma Rules Worksheet in the classroom on the day of class. Students will use this as reference during class. Please have it pulled up on their computer in a separate tab/browser or have the student print it out! Notice to Parents! Students will use the 'Annotate' function of Zoom for parts of the class. If able, help the student navigate and use this function before class. I have heard some devices won't be able to use the 'Annotate' function on Zoom, which is completely fine as well! In these cases, the student will come up with the answer and I will write it on the screen. (Link for Zoom support: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005706806-Using-annotation-tools-on-a-shared-screen-or-whiteboard) Thank you.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be informal assessment of the students in class to ensure understand and mastery of the content.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class is Fortnite themed. I want parents to be aware that Fortnite is a third-person shooter game, where 100 players drop into a fantasy land/map and fight one another as the circle (available area) on the map gets smaller. Last one to survive wins!
