Color and Sing a Rainbow!

In this class, your child will learn six colors of the rainbow!  They will also be able to identify other objects that are the same color.  Each child will get a chance to choose an object. This will reinforce their knowledge of the specific color.  They will begin to learn word recognition by seeing the name of the color displayed.  This will aid in pre-reading skills. Your child will use crayons to color the rainbow using colors in sequential order.  This will help them learn steps and sequence order.  Coloring will support the development of fine motor skills. (Coloring sheet will be provided)
 At the end of the class, we will hold up our completed rainbows while singing a song about the colors of the rainbow.  This action of waving their rainbow from side to side will help with gross body movement.  Singing the song will assist in memorization of the color order they just learned while building their rainbow!   
Your child will be reminded of the colors they have learned while looking at their rainbow hanging on the refrigerator long after class is over!  They might even start singing the rainbow song which lists the colors in order!
