Class experience
In this course students will learn basic pop-up techniques and make pop-up cards. No prior knowledge needed, just creativity! Students will cut, fold, and glue paper to create a standing Pop-up System (examples of fold will be provided in class) . This is a fun 3D project where students will experiment with a variety of paper (sketchbook, card stock, bond paper, colourful construction paper..) and practice cutting and folding to create a pop-up card that "pops-up" when opened. Students will experiment with a variety of paper of different sizes, colours and thickness and practice cutting and folding different shapes (organic and geometric). The result is to have fun and create a pop-up book by adding some drawings to complete the story. They can even decorate the card the way they like with the materials they already have.

Card Stock or other heavy-weight paper (a few, different colour) Glue stick / White Glue/ Rubber Cement is the best option if you can find it ! Scissors Ruler Pencil Crayons or other colour pencils/markers/ stickers Cutting mat (if using the cutting blade), it can be useful for measurement too (easier than a ruler) so bring one if you have it!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
