In this one-time primer course, children will learn the basic rules of chess, including the names of all pieces and how they move.
Class experience
In this class I will teach students the fundamentals of chess: how to set up the board, the names of each piece, the rules of the game, how pieces move and attack, the diagram of the board, and how to think about chess moves. I will use a physical chess board in live lectures, web-based chess apps, and the interactive white board to explain simple strategies to get your child started.
