In this on-going class, novice and lower-intermediate players (800-1500 rating) can join on a weekly basis to play chess arena, develop/discuss strategies and solve puzzles.

Welcome to the Chess Social Club!

The purpose of this on-going class is to create a friendly social environment whereby learners can play chess and share their knowledge of chess. Therefore, every week, we will usually warm up with solving puzzles collectively, discuss any new strategies/openings that learners may have learnt throughout the week, and then proceed to play friendlies in either a single or tournament format. This class is taught in English.

Students will build confidence in socialising and improving their game of chess.

I am not a chess master but I do have a 1100 blitz rating, therefore I do have an adequate understanding of chess. However, my expertises lies in building a friendly social environment as a professional teacher.
