I am a school-based mental-health therapist with more than 3 years experience working with K-12 students. I hold a Master of Arts in Transpersonal Psychology and am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, expressive arts therapy, psychosynthesis, and mindfulness-based interventions.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This course is for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for therapy or professional treatment of any kind. Students will learn techniques to help recognize and reframe their negative thinking, which may result in positive changes in their daily lives such as decreased rumination, improved stress resilience, and increased optimism. However, this course is not designed to treat clinical mental health conditions. Parents should consider their child's individual needs and consult with their health care providers to determine appropriate care if needed.
