THIS IS AVAILABLE IN FLEX FORMAT: https://outschool.com/classes/cattle-breeds-flex-vPFyjGHv?usid=r9rnhzbw&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link In this course students will explore 12 different breeds of cattle, characteristics, origins, history, pros and cons of the breeds, etc. Students will approach 2 breeds per week, over the course of 6 weeks. The following breeds will be discussed: Week One: Black Angus and Red Angus Week Two: Saler and Charolais Week Three: Beefmaster and Texas Longhorn Week Four: Herford and Shorthorn Week Five: Chianina and Brahma Week Six: Jersey and Holstein Two to three videos, along with a few external video links will be included each week. A note- taking guide will be provided each week to go along with the provided videos. Each week, there will be one quiz and activity provided, due the following week. My availability: M, T, W, TH- 6:00am CST- 8:00pm CST F- 6:00am CST- 3:00pm CST This is the LIVE MEETING course version of "Cattle Breeds". I am available during office hours for assistance! I operate a cattle ranch with 100 head of registered Red Angus and Charolais cattle. I have worked in veterinary medicine for 10 years, I have a bachelors degree in Secondary Education- biological sciences, and planning to obtain a masters degree in veterinary science/livestock systems health.
