Veterinary Science | 9 Weeks

In this 9-week Introductory Veterinary Science course, students will explore the exciting world of veterinary medicine through engaging, age-appropriate lessons. Each week focuses on a different core concept, including animal anatomy and physiology, nutrition, common diseases and parasites, basic surgical procedures, and veterinary careers. We will cover multiple species such as dogs, cats, horses, and livestock, giving learners a broad understanding of animal health and care.

The class is structured with a mix of live instruction, interactive slides, short video clips, and open discussions. My teaching style is enthusiastic, hands-on, and student-centered—I encourage questions, curiosity, and critical thinking. Real-world case studies, visual aids like radiographs and anatomy diagrams, and scenario-based learning will help students apply their knowledge in fun and meaningful ways.

Each week, learners will participate in guided discussions, respond to questions, and complete  enrichment activities such as short worksheets, games, or at-home animal observations. Students will have frequent opportunities to interact with me and their classmates, creating a collaborative and engaging learning environment. No prior veterinary knowledge is required—just a love of animals and a desire to learn!
