Building With Lego® Bricks While Practicing Conversational English (Social ESL)

This class is for students whose second language is English. They should understand a good amount of English vocabulary prior to joining this class. In this class students will have the opportunity to engage in conversation with myself and other children at a pace appropriate for young students who are working to gain confidence in conversational English speaking.

This class will provide an opportunity for students to practice speaking English more fluently. 

For each class, every student will bring one thing they have built out of Lego® bricks to class. Students will tell us about what they made. We will practice speaking, listening, and asking questions. 

This class is a social class to practice English speaking skills. This is not a class in English instruction. During class, I will model proper sentence structure. We will practice phrases and sentence structure as the opportunities arise in class.  I will model and support students in asking and answering questions. I hope this is a fun and motivating way for students to practice their conversational English skills.
