Class Experience

In this 5 day Broadway Workshop we will be exploring your musical theatre voice!
Have you ever dreamed of being on Broadway, performing at your school talent show, or just putting on a living room concert for your family and friends? Then this is the workshop for you!

Each day we will be learning vocal warm-ups and breathing techniques. Students will have the opportunity to learn about new musicals and study and sing a song. Students will learn through teacher guidance and interaction with fellow classmates.

The goal of this workshop will be to perform the assigned song by the end of the week with confidence and strength. They will also have gained knowledge of character study and "acting the song."

Day One: - Vocal warm-ups and breathing techniques
                   - Discuss musicals, and learn your voice type so we can pick the perfect song

Day Two: - Vocal warm-ups and breathing techniques
                    - Character study breakdown
                    - First sing through with constructive feedback

Day Three: - Vocal warm-ups and breathing techniques
                      - Learn about subtext and "acting the song"
                      - Review the song with each student

Day Four: - Vocal warm-ups and breathing techniques
                     - Share what we came up with about our characters and subtext
                     - We will be watching the recorded performances of our peers in class and giving positive and uplifting comments on
                      their hard work

Day Five: - Vocal warm-ups and breathing techniques
                   - Live performance Day!!
