*This class is available in English and in French.* In this 1:1 class, singers will work on their artistic potential throughout vocal exercises and songs. Singers will be working on a musical repertoire consisting of songs they picked, songs the teacher picked for them and, originals (if applicable). We will cover topics such as vocal anatomy, pitch, posture, breathing, articulation, intonation, mixing, interpretation as well as using healthy vocal habits using the Estill Vocal Training. The class will start with a 15 minute warm up that will include at least one technical element mentioned above. The warm up will be followed by a short sight reading or musical theory activity. During the remaining 20 minutes, the teacher and singers will works on one song from the repertoire in order to perfect it. More than one class may be needed to perfect a song. As a teacher, I will offer a personalized approach making sure every student's needs are met. During the first class, I will assess the singer's level and plan my class accordingly. This class is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced singers. This class is also a safe space for shy singers. I like to encourage my students to get out of their comfort level without feeling overwhelmed. I will always provide positive feedback so that singers have one thing to be proud of, and one thing to work on. In my class, all feelings are welcome. I encourage singers to use their voice to express their feelings. Singers are welcome to sign up as many times as they want. The teacher will keep a log of the singer's progress and will offer a variety of exercises and activities that will peak the singer's interest.
