During this two session class, learners and the instructor will be having discussions regarding the incredible levels of character development and quirks, plot details over time, the importance of specific settings,symbolism, and most importantly the themes and life lessons that are both obvious to the reader and others need to be pulled out through discussion and analyzing of the text.The learners will analyze the creation of the story in free verse and why that is a highly effective writing...
This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their understanding of being able to locate themes, life lessons, plot development, depth of creating believable characters, and support those ideas with evidence from the book while also gaining further skills in understanding , character motives, character quirks and the very importance of decision making. Students will be learning the pros and cons of creating a novel in free verse rather than traditional style. Overall, there is power in the written word and that will surely be reinforced in this class.
