Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
📖Book clubs are a great way to get your child excited and engaged in literature, whether they are a reluctant reader or an avid bookworm.

🤝The best part of being in a book club is having some social time with your peers. We will begin each class with a few minutes to get to know new friends or catch up with current classmates.

😄We will then dive into a thorough discussion about our current read. We will start the discussion with a brief overview of the assigned reading and then take the conversation to a deeper level. The teacher will facilitate the discussion through open-ended, thought-provoking questions to engage the students to think critically and analyze their reading. Through these discussions, your learner will increase comprehension and practice public speaking and social skills.

❗Please note, that all reading should take place before coming to class. We will not be reading together during class time. For the first class of a new book, the student should have completed approximately the first half of the book, and before the second class, they should have finished the book.

Many of these great novels are available in either physical, digital, or audio copies from your local library or may be purchased from book retailers.
