In this next installment in the "Big Picture History" series, Mr. Powell of www.HistoryAtOurHouse.com will give you an overview of the vast and important civilization of ancient Rome . You will learn how the method of Anchor Facts (TM) applies to the study of classical civilizations, and you will see how ancient Rome will always be a part of THE WORLD WE LIVE IN. No prior knowledge of Roman history is required. Parents and students who have tried to learn the history of ancient Rome, but who have been frustrated by being unable to grasp the "big picture" will find the class especially helpful. Students who already understand parts of the story will finally see how they fit together! All families that participate in the live sessions will also receive permanent access to the Youtube screencast recording for repeat learning and enjoyment. In addition, students will be guided to produce their own Anchor Fact(TM) timelines and narratives to cement their understanding. Higher levels courses will also be available for students who wish to pursue a more intensive insight into the ancient world and who need help preparing to meet state-based standards for world history or college entrance requirements. It's never too late to start learning history properly once and for all! This is the BIG PICTURE of Ancient Rome -- for you and your child.
