Mastery Evaluation
1-2 hours per week. Practicing one's vocal exercises or song will serve as "homework" in this course. 30 minutes of practice per day is ideal.Assessment
On a case-by-case basis, students will have the opportunity to perform a song they’ve been working on solo to showcase their progress. I will assess their vocal technique, musical expression, and overall confidence. Depending on the performance, we will either continue refining the song to strengthen specific skills or celebrate their success by moving on to a new piece. This flexible approach ensures each student grows at their own pace while building confidence and a sense of accomplishment.Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 12
Beginner - Advanced Level
In my 1-on-1 online voice lessons, young learners will explore healthy vocal techniques like breath support, pitch accuracy, and tone quality, while also learning age-appropriate music theory concepts such as rhythm, note reading, and dynamics. Each lesson is tailored to the individual student’s needs and interests, ensuring a personalized and engaging learning experience. We’ll start with fun vocal warm-ups to prepare the voice, followed by focused skill-building exercises. Then, we’ll apply those skills by working on songs the student enjoys, focusing on expression, confidence, and performance. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and playful, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable to explore their voices and grow at their own pace. Lessons are interactive and hands-on, incorporating call-and-response singing, guided exercises, and creative activities to keep learners engaged. Students will have my full attention throughout each session, with opportunities to ask questions, experiment, and receive real-time feedback. My goal is to help young singers connect with their unique voice, build confidence, and have fun while making music—all from the comfort of home!

In our lessons, we will explore a wide variety of music from diverse composers and genres, ensuring students are exposed to different styles, voices, and cultures. Some songs may carry impactful historical or cultural significance, which will be discussed thoughtfully and age-appropriately. While these discussions will be handled with care, it’s important to acknowledge that music often reflects the realities of the time and place in which it was created. By embracing a diverse repertoire, students will develop a deeper understanding of music’s rich history and a greater appreciation for its ability to connect us across cultures and experiences.
