In this camp, students will learn to produce engaging style videos. Learn a complete video production process: storyboarding, scripting, filming, editing, and promotion. We will develop the YouTube channel basics including profile, descriptions, and target audience. We will discuss different tools of the trade and how they can help us. We will research trends within our target genre while defining our video titles and descriptions. Prepare by creating a YouTube account before class starts (students will not be accessing YouTube during class). Prepare a secondary device or camera and lighting to create the best videos. In this course, learners will: Day 1: Set up channel basics Learn recording procedures Learn Live video procedures Day 2: Gain experience using equipment Edit video and audio tracks Plan a video in advance Use screen capture software Day 3: Discuss our videos Engage with an online community Share your video with your friends OBS software can be downloaded for free here: https://obsproject.com/. obsproject.com Open Broadcaster Software | OBS Please Note: YouTube Studio’s editing tool is accessible on a PC/Mac computer. I will be using my laptop to upload and edit my videos in YouTube Studio. I will be teaching how to edit videos on the computer PC, not on a mobile device. Using the computer gives me more features than using a mobile device. Google Chrome browser is highly suggested because some features may not work in other browsers. Students will not be accessing YouTube during class. Any YouTube videos the teacher uses will be embedded in the Outschool classroom.
