Calling all adventurers! We play once a week in this interactive D&D game. The teacher acts as the Dungeon Master and presents challenges to the learners every week with dungeons, monsters, and social encounters. No experience is required to enjoy this class. Learners can create their own characters or use one provided for them upon request. If requesting a character be made for you, please make your request at least 48 hours prior to your learner's first class. Learners must have a free Dungeons & Dragons Beyond account. They will be given a campaign link in class to create their character. Most content is allowed for character creation with a few restrictions as listed inside the classroom. The classroom discussion boards are active with posts. Your learner must be able and willing to read posts from the teacher between live meetings. During the class, students must be able to use a web browser as we are using Foundry VTT for visual aid. Foundry VTT requires no login for the students and does not collect their data. Welcome to the Shadowbraid! It's been around since the world's creation, and is known as the most dangerous forest. Adventurers who venture too deep are never heard from again. Of course, that means there must be so much treasure and loot yet unclaimed. Are you prepared to face any and all challenges? Each week the learners will explore the dungeon or visit the town. They have free reign to interact with that week's story as they see fit. New players will still be able to join and enjoy! Sessions with at least two learners attending will proceed as normal. Otherwise the class will be cancelled and refunded for that week. Example Learner Schedule: (please note sessions may change based on learner input) Week 1: Introductions and Making Characters Week 2: Arriving in town Week 3: Dungeon Floor 1 exploration Week 4: Dungeon Boss Battle This ongoing class mixes quests from miscellaneous sources and features roleplay, combat, and exploration. Refund policy: This class uses Outschool's regular refund policy. I would like to clarify here that if I need to cancel a class, you will be fully refunded. If your learner misses a class, I will offer a full refund the first two times. Subsequent times will only be a half refund. Teacher cancellations: Outside of this class, I work a full-time job and have a toddler. There are times I must cancel less than 24 hours in advance. I do my best not to do this, but emergencies and illnesses still hit at any time. Thank your for your understanding.

Learners will improve their social, problem solving, and critical thinking skills as they work together to overcome the obstacles in the story.
