They will learn 200 basic words and sight words, simple sentences, and basic grammar (capitals, periods). They will build their confidence and develop foundational writing skills. 

I have over twenty years of experience teaching writing, language arts, and ESL. I currently fun a successful after-school writing program in the Los Angeles and Culver City School Districts. Also, I have two published novels - both acclaimed books, making many best of lists. The last one was listed as one of NPR's best novels of 2018. I've taught every level of writer, from ones who have a hard time writing a sentence to ones who can write novels.

Homework Offered
They will watch videos and do about fifteen minutes of homework every day or two hours on the weekend. They can do as much or as little as they like. I will add an extra bonus week at the end to finish whatever they haven't done. 
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Once a week, parents send me a package with their student's writing from the week. I will send an email back with instructions for what to work on, and encouragement for the student about their fabulous writing!
Grades Offered

This can really help kids who have fallen behind in school and need some extra help, no matter what their special needs might be.
