Beginner Reading & Writing : Let's Learn, Read, & Write Word Families (Foundational Skills for Kindergarten)

In this ongoing class students will learn how to read, write, and spell CVC rhyming words. Each week we will focus on one word family. We will practice reading and spelling the words through different activities, games and worksheets. This class will help students become confident readers and writers. This class is taught by a certified elementary teacher.

Class Experience

Students will identify a word family.
Students will identify a rhyming words.
Students will spell words within a specific word family.
Students will read words within a specific word family.
Students will write words within a specific word family.
I am a certified K-6 elementary teacher. I have taught Kindergarten in the past and love teaching students phonics. I truly enjoy helping students become readers and build confidence with their phonics skills.  
Student may complete the worksheet provided after class for more practice. This homework is recommended but not required. 
Students will need: Paper (preferably handwriting paper) Pencil Markers or crayons
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
