Thanks for coming to my Outschool class! My name is Mrs. Collins. I have a masters in Elementary Education and am a certified teacher who has taught all subjects in 4th & 5th grade with over 10 years of experience. In the last few years, I was responsible for providing all levels of math instruction from remediation and intervention to grade level and above for all 5th grade classes. What type of class is it? A student will have an individual math assessment of his/her progress at the current grade level aligned with the common core math standards. To insure the student has fun and feels relaxed, a balance of math games, assessments and instructional lessons will be part of this engaging session.
I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have taught intervention classes for grades K-5 and worked as a classroom teacher for all subjects in grades 4 and 5 for over 10 years.
Students should bring a white board, dry erase marker and eraser (i.e. old sock) along with about 10 pieces of white blank paper and pencils.
