Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 12
Beginner - Advanced Level
At the Math Breakdown, we believe learning math shouldn't be vague, tedious or soul-crushing. Look no further and get extra math help from an experienced tutor and professional engineer (MS Eng.) with a passion for making math clear, fun and engaging!

You decide the topics to review in the high school level math topics of algebra 1 & 2, geometry, pre-calculus, trigonometry, calculus and more. Notify me with the topic(s) you want to review (preferably at least 24hrs before our session), and I will prepare a tailored problem set for our discussion. We will work side-by-side on a digital whiteboard drawing material from a variety of sources including the Khan Academy and problem sets of my own making. I am also happy to recommend online resources for additional follow-up. Having a calculator, scratch paper and pencil handy is also recommended. Please test your Zoom setup before our session so we can take full advantage of our time together.

I believe the key to effective math tutoring is providing clear instruction using examples and language that draw on the student's existing knowledge base. As we work together, I will strive to learn about how you best digest math concepts and provide support and engaging context where applicable. A strong foundation in math is important and learning math should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Don't feel like you need a full hour session? No problem, check out my 35 minute offering as well. Feel free to reach out with any questions and I hope to work together soon!
