*** This is a Modern Standard Arabic class *** In this class, the students will learn the numbers from 1 to 10 in Arabic. By the end of this lesson, the students will be able to count from 1-10 in Arabic. This class is suitable for children with little to no prior knowledge of Arabic. We will start our class by learning some basic words related to self introduction such as "hello", "my name is ...". Then, we will learn the numbers one at a time, focusing on the correct pronunciation of each number through repetition. Once we go over all the number from 1-10, we will then enjoy listening/ singing along with a song that recycles the numbers we have just learned. Then, we will practice our target numbers by counting things presented on the slides ( e.g. How many birds do you see? I see ( number) ). I give my students a lot of opportunities to speak and practice the words they have learned. We will follow the model " I do, we do, you do" to provide my students with enough language input and scaffolding to reach their learning goals. Since this class is tailored for true beginners, I will be speaking English along with Arabic to facilitate the learning process. I hope to see you soon!

Welcome to my profile! My name is Mrs. Imane. I'm from Montreal, Canada.
I have a Bachelor's in English Linguistics and a Master's in Applied Language Studies. I'm also certified to teach ESL ( English as a Second Language).
I love teaching and learning languages. Since I am multilingual ( Arabic is my native language, French and English are my second), I can help your children master these languages through fun and engaging lessons. I like to give my students a lot of speaking opportunities as I believe anyone could be proficient through meaningful interaction using the target language.
I have been a teacher for the last 3 years. I had taught English and French in public elementary schools here in Montreal. Currently, I'm an online ESL teacher, helping hundreds of students at all levels/ages become proficient English speakers.
Aside from teaching, I love working out, travelling and creating language-related content on social media ( Youtube, Instagram and Facebook).
In my classes, I always encourage students to speak and make mistakes because I believe that is a crucial part of the language learning process. I try my best to keep my students engaged through fun activities and interesting topics for discussion.
