Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
In this one-time nature class, we will explore an amazing apex predator; the giant otter. Throughout our lesson, we will discover why this predator is at the top of the food chain and why it isn't likely to become prey. We will find out important information like where it lives in the world, how big it is, what it eats, and how it hunts. We will also talk about all the special characteristics that make this animal so unique.

Learners can print the "apex predator fact file" and record information about the giant otter if they wish.

This one-time class has been a lesson in the ongoing class "Apex Predators."

Even though I love teaching ELA virtually at a public school and here on Outschool, I also love science and nature! I've done a lot of research on this topic and feel qualified to share what I've learned with interested students.
