All about Homesteading (ages 6-11) During this class, students will learn the four key components to a successful homestead. We will spend the first 5 minutes of class asking students what they think a homestead is. Next, we will break down and discuss the 4 key components such as repurpose, reduce, reuse and recycle for a successful homestead. Kids will have the opportunity to share different ideas of how we can make each key component work. Students will be given papers at the end of class to make projects at home with their loved ones based around the components we learned in class, such as creating a tote bag from a shirt for recycling.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello there! 👋 I'm Mrs. Destiney, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be here with you! I have been happily married for 10 years. As a homeschooling mom of two wonderful kids, I've got a full house on our farm that includes one dog, chickens and lots of cattle. My goal is to allow learners explore farm life, see live animals and more!
If you don’t see a time that fits with your schedule, please let me know and I’d be happy to open up another time for your learner if it works out.
