In this 40-minute class, students will learn how to add positive and negative whole numbers(integers). We start with adding positive and positive integers. Followed by negative and negative integers. Lastly, we will add positive and negative integers. We will learn the concept, practice a few problems, and there will be a little time for questions. I will check for understanding throughout the 40 minutes. If time I will show the students a way to practice at home using a deck of regular playing cards. I will use the whiteboard function through zoom, slides, and a number line to teach the concepts as well as have the students practice.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of adding positive and negative numbers. That includes positive added to positive, negative added to negative, and positive added to negative.Other Details
