Description
Class Experience
This FLEX class is an accelerated version of my live class of the same title. This class is perfect for students who missed a part of 7th grade math previously or who need a class outside of the offered times of the live class. It also works well as an enrichment course. Due to the nature of FLEX classes, I can be flexible about start dates. If you do not see a date that works for you, please send me a message and we can schedule a start date that works for you. This complete course,...
Students will show mastery of the topics listed in the Class Experience section.
Two weekly homework assignments; one problem solving challenge per week Students should expect to spend 2 - 4 hours per week for this class.
All lessons and assignments will be provided by the teacher. It will be helpful to have a printer in order to print note pages and homework assignments but this is not required. Students should have: * A binder to keep notes and assignments organized * A simple handheld calculator * Pencils and paper for showing work
Feedback will be provided for the weekly homework. Grades can be provided upon request.
No live meetings, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
The following outside resources will be used. None of these require students to have accounts. Students will have the opportunity to participate in games in order to review the topics they are learning. These games will be in either Kahoot or Blooket. Each week, students will be given links to access Pear Deck lessons. These will include embedded YouTube videos (made by me) and practice problems.
