BEGINNER PROGRAMMING CLASS — Prior experience is not required or necessary. -------------------------------------- Hello and welcome to Fundamentals of Programming! This class is designed so that a student can continuously take this class and progress through an enlightening programming curriculum. We will always go at a comfortable pace with fun mini-projects to practice our new skills! - Data types: Strings, Integers, Floats, and Arrays - Variables - User input - Dot syntax - Various methods - Working with collections - Iteration and loops - How to create a method - Object-oriented programming - Companies like Twitter, Airbnb, Bloomberg, Groupon, Shopify, YellowPages.com... and countless others use Ruby to power their applications and websites! It's a high-level, general-purpose programming language, meaning you can do just about anything you want with it. But here is the best part; it's quite similar to English! This will be the programming language used in class.
